We needed to a raise a total of £145,000 in 14 day so that we could make an offer to purchase Dovedale Baptist ChurchWe are humbled to confirm that God provided the money in 8 days and our offer has been lodged.Read below to learn about our journey and campaign.By God's grace Cornerstone Liverpool has outgrown it's current building. Sunday services are often chaotic and we are unable to welcome new people and practice hospitality in the ways we would want. We have no space to respond or minister to people on Sunday mornings as the Church gathers; our kids are crammed into small rooms and there is inadequate office/meeting space for our growing staff team. Ramlies Road Hall is no longer safe and suitable, to the point were we feel it has become a hinderance to the ministry of the Church and our desire to grow and multiply. Throughout the past two years the Elders have been trying to find alternative venues and spaces across L18 to solve the problem we face. Most will know that Dovedale Baptist Church recently became available, and we are taking a step of faith that would allow us to make this building a new home for Cornerstone Church Liverpool. Purchasing Dovedale would be an exciting step for the Cornerstone Collective that would create wonderful opportunities to fuel mission and Church planting across Merseyside. We would increase our space by 5000 sq ft, it will provide a central hub to train more men and women for gospel ministry, our kids will finally have the space they deserve and we will no longer need to hire a venue for collective events.
This step isn't about being more comfortable, it will allow us reach out further and increase our influence across Merseyside! We want to create space for our Church to grow so that we might see more men and women baptised, discipled and sent.At the same time we are also putting Ramilies Road Hall on the market as we look to raise the funds needed to purchase Dovedale and start the restoration of this building. Ramilies Road Hall would only be sold if we were able to acquire Dovedale Baptist Church, but we need to move quickly as there are already several interested parties. It's also unlikely that we will be able to sell our current building in such a short time frame and we continue to explore a number of opportunities to raise this money externally. How can you support this project?Pray: You can pray in the following ways.
- Pray that God would lead and guide us as we take this step of faith.
- Pray that we would raise the funds needed to make an offer on Dovedale Baptist Church.
- Pray for God's favour as we look to purchase Dovedale Baptist Church.Pledge to Give: We are calling the members of our Churches to pledge to give as we look to raise enough funds to make an offer. It is our prayer that this building will become a central hub that will allow us to reach Merseyside with the gospel for the next 100 years!Click here to pledge!Do you know someone who might be able to give? As covenant members we are all fundraisers! If you know anyone who might be able give then please share this information.Click here to download our info flyer!Don't know anything about us and want to know more?Click here to view our annual report from last year!Want to speak to one of the Elders?Email: email@example.comFAQ:Once I pledge when will I have to give?We don't need the funds to be in our bank account next Friday so please don't let this stop you pledging. It's likely that we will be in touch at the start of December to collect any gifts that have been pledged.
Can the Church claim gift aid on my gift?
This depends on your personal circumstances such as your salary and annual giving. Once you pledge we will be in touch and based on your situation we can calculate if gift aid can be claimed. Depending on the size of gift and whether you are a tax payer, it is likely that we can claim gift aid on most gifts. The current total above doesn't include any potential gift aid claims.
What if someone from outside the Collective wants to give?
We would encourage everyone to use Churchconnect.info to pledge and follow the same process as those in our Churches. You can copy and paste the link below and this should be relatively straight forward. https://churchconnect.nucleus.
